Fixed Gear

I've been on something of a biking evolution. I started by digging up quaries in Lancashire, jumping around on a DMR trailstar; after a couple of sessions cut short by jaunts to the hospital I started downhill, which just made me shit myself everytime...I then moved to the Yorkshire Dales and explored on a Felt mtb before getting into long distance rides across Vietnam & Cambodia...but now in Osaka, I know my next bike is gonna be fixed gear...

The only way to get 'round Osaka is on a fixed gear... you can get from Yakuza hood Daikokocho up to Salaryman centric Umeda in about 5 seconds... and the bikes look fly, totally minimal, light, no brakes, one cog, neon finish...nice!

Instead of going for it all out, as in dirt jumps or downhill, fixed gear seems more subtle, controlled, technical, and you can also just flat out, go Fast!

I know a load of guys that are into doing tricks...but I stumbled across this girl (?) on youtube. Some strange gender blurded show, akin to a performance from LV's Circus Circus, to the equally unnerving tones of uncle frank

Awesome to have you join us in the fixed gear crew dude. Only wish your videos from YouTube weren't blocked in China!
